Black children aren’t normally associated with Nordstrom. Accustomed to homogeneous neighborhoods, White shoppers pass by unmoved. The model fails to invoke thoughts of their own children or grandchildren. It’s ultimately a bomb.

The 100% white Madison Avenue crowd demands diversity for everyone but them.
