The name Eleanor Clift means nothing to the average person. Eleanor who? Eleanor Roosevelt? Women named Eleanor are from a bygone era. In 1940 Brooklyn, Eleanor Roeloffs was born the daughter of segregated white shopkeepers. Minorities lived in Harlem. Eleanor learned to worship party and race above reason. Hers was a world of white Democrats and affirmative action.

Like her boss Tina Brown, Eleanor owes her celebrity to the times. She began as a secretary in the Newsweek typing pool. A man recognized her talent and Eleanor rose through the ranks. It’s Peggy Olson’s story and proof of the American Dream. Affirmative-action or not, today Clift is more influential than most men.

Unlike Tina Brown, Eleanor Clift was never kept. Old men lavished Tina Brown in luxury. Eleanor hustled and rose in New York’s media circles. She ended up on NPR’s The Diane Rehm Show. Diane Rehm hosts a haunt of white liberals on the taxpayer’s dime. Her guests hate guns, American power and the South. Everyone is racist but them.

Eleanor is best known for her stint on The McLaughlin Group. Host John McLaughlin is the last of a dying breed on television. He’s a skilled host infused with personality and charisma. He’s the star and everything else revolves around that. When he retires, no one from The Most Disgusting Generation could replace him.

Anyway, Eleanor is the resident big mouth liberal. Once she worshiped the Clintons and was Hillary’s attack dog. But after Obama came along, this young black man supplanted any loyalties to Eleanor’s feminism. McLaughlin once told her, “you’ve turned.” Eleanor squawked, “I have not turned!”

But she had. No female candidate could trump a liberal’s need to call everyone else racist. To Eleanor, Obama is fully qualified to be president. His affirmative-action past, including the presidency, means nothing. The world must suffer so frauds like Eleanor can feel good about themselves.

Of Course

Eleanor can be counted on to tow the party line, no matter how absurd or dangerous. When discussing the Greek financial crisis, she promised the US could never find itself in the same situation. She said, “we can print money.” Sure thing. But she might actually believe it. She’d kiss the ring of Ben Bernanke to attend his parties. In the real world, it’s hard to imagine being paid to spew lies. But Eleanor Clift gets a big fat check every week.

Like all Leftists skilled in the art of Goebbels, Eleanor obfuscates or shouts down her opposition. Co-panelist Mort Zuckerman has told her to be quiet…that it’s his turn to talk. Sometimes the men, including Pat Buchanan, become engaged in conversation totally excluding her. They know she’s a hack. A party stooge. Whatever she says leads to that end. Nothing she says matters.

This past week, Obama’s long-overdue trip to Israel was the topic. Eleanor sees Obama as capable and determined. She believes he can bring Israel’s new coalition government together, like planting magic beans or something. She said to tell Israel that we have their back. But Eleanor admitted that one speech wasn’t enough…it would take more effort. Yet this wasn’t her position with Obama’s 2009 Cairo speech. At that time, he was still the young black messiah. His words were divine.

Of course Eleanor ignores that Obama is hated in Israel. People on both sides sense his overt loathing for God’s chosen people. She cries liberal tears for Palestinians, fomenting rage over settlements. She’s scolded Israel for attacking “peaceful demonstrators.” Today when Obama promises American support, Israelis feel uneasy.

He’s ignored Iran’s race to the bomb, only grudgingly imposing sanctions. Democrats embraced the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Libya. They’ll do so again in Syria. Obama called for a return to the 1967 borders. He was overheard slamming Netanyahu on an open mic, complaining that he must deal with the troublesome prime minister every day. The same prime minister who works in Jerusalem, the Israeli capital Obama doesn’t recognize.

No on believes it.

Eleanor forgives Obama’s hatred of Jews. A hatred fueled by his time at Jeremiah Wright’s church. He’s being forced to make the trip, forced by reality and self-loathing American Jews who support him. Obama lacks all interest in the Holy Land. Not being basketball or golf, dry dusty ruins are a bore. But if Mecca were opened up to him, he’d bolt to Saudi Arabia.

Liar, Liar

We always know Eleanor is lying or cornered when she offers up her nervous, scheming laugh. Whether it’s Obama or anyone else she must cover for, she sinks into her chair and goes “he he he.” This is a red flag. A lie has been told or she’s defending one. Watch out.

But like John McLaughlin, Eleanor is blessed with strange presence and quick wit. No matter the topic, she’s a convincing voice to the ill-informed and ignorant. Her painted peers on MSNBC and CNN are only pretty faces reading the teleprompter. Eleanor Clift writes teleprompter script and uses big words. The Most Disgusting Generation smiles and follows along, as if there’s plenty of time and money.

Over the years, Eleanor witnessed a divided Korea. Vietnam remains communist thanks to her kind. Iraq and Afghanistan have been ceded to Islam, her Democrats cheer our retreat as victory. But it’s not. It’s American failure. Thanks to Eleanor’s liberal cabal, the Muslim Brotherhood has America’s blessing. Israel is forever the bad guy.

If I were Israeli, I’d have difficulty trusting Uncle Sam. We’ve maybe turned a corner that only a George Washington could right. Americans are sports addicts, fathers of loose girls and ignorant of Israel’s importance. Israel is our aircraft carrier of freedom in the Middle East. Self-loathing American Jews are its greatest enemy. They serve a mandate that would see the dissolution of Israel. Everything to Palestine. If it happens, Eleanor Clift would excuse it.

But no one escapes fate. Like all Americans, the aging Eleanor will suffer minorities and illegal aliens at Obamacare’s free clinic. She’s not rich enough or important enough to avoid it. She supported it. She overlooked Harry Reid’s use of reconciliation to pass Obamacare. She deserves to defend her life before government bureaucrats educated at cold universities.

Eleanor embraces Tejanofication and expects Americans to learn Spanish. Eleanor herself doesn’t speak Spanish and has no intention of learning. Note she opens with her guilty laugh.
