Heat cracked this road down the middle. The asphalt looks new. Government crews will take months or years to repair it. Government run public works equates to government run healthcare. People never connect the two. A highway project takes years to complete. No doubt a private company could do it in half the time. Probably less.

But we’ll never know. Today people vote for government control of everything. As if it’s worked so well in the past. As if they’ve never driven on bad roads in the heart of downtown.
