Texas Carpetbaggers: New York

Of all the carpetbaggers fleeing to Texas, New Yorkers are most irritating. New York City is capital of the world. At taxpayer’s expense, the UN works tirelessly to thwart American ambitions abroad. New York’s five star hotels and restaurants provide every luxury. Gourmet cuisine, the finest clothes and jewels are all exports. Luxury isn’t the only New York monopoly. Wall Street is our global banker; Broadway sets entertainment standards. Countless TV shows are filmed in New York City – every American recognizes its gray streets and beleaguered police force. Most importantly, New York changed the world forever after 9-11. The now defunct War on Terror began with New York blood. Yet today New Yorkers demand Constitutional rights for terrorists. A strange people indeed.

In 2008, New York voted Obama to prove that they weren’t racists. He received 31 electoral votes. In 2012, New York’s vote will mean less. They lost two Congressional seats after the 2010 census. This catostrophe is truly embarrassing for our most snotty sister. Decades of electing politicians like Schumer and Bloomerberg destroyed innovation – New York became a tax-and-spend prison camp. Hyper-regulation, high startup costs plus tolls on every bridge scattered New Yorkers like rats.

Believing themselves equal to Manhattan’s uber rich, working stiffs elected NYU socialists to Albany and city councils statewide. A look at New York’s city council is startling. Out of 51 districts, 47 are Democrats. It’s sick. Democrats outnumber Republicans two to one in the State Assembly. Democrat Governor Cuomo is a nepotistic union man writhing at the thought of reform. Today New York’s unemployment rate stands at 8.6% – New York City 9.6%. Real unemployment adds 10%. The Empire State bleeds from self-inflicted wounds.

The state that outshines even California is a cesspool of Occupy Wall Street ingrates. For its citizens, escaping from New York is now do or die. But like all carpetbaggers fleeing disaster zones, these refugees invade Texas and begin the process anew. Obama warned recently that Texas is now in play. Conservatives laughed and Obama’s frightful remarks made Drudge. Understand Obama meant what he said. With an exploding Mexican population and deranged carpetbaggers, Texas will turn bluer than any ocean.
